Vegetarian Diet is not the Ultimate Answer
Researches have concluded that vegetarians are less likely to develop heart condition, arterial hypertension or strokes, but they are not protected against them. The only thing that makes vegetarians ahead of the rest in circulatory problems in the fact that they do not eat fats almost at all.
Also, these types of alimentation can diminish the risk of certain types of cancer, like colon cancer and breast cancer. All these facts about vegetarians does not make their lifestyle flawless. It’s a known fact that living healthy means living with moderation, not with prohibitions.
Many people search top secret fat loss recipes, things that can make them magically get rid of unwanted pounds, and some of them come across a vegetarian diet eventually, and think they have found the right type of alimentary program they have been searching for so long. In general, vegetarians pay more attention to their alimentation, don’t smoke and practice sports. All these automatically sign them up for a healthier lifestyle. The vegetarian diet can be balanced if all the necessary nutrients are assured and not too many aliments are excluded. But since the vegetarians tend to almost always avoid animal-based products, they are doomed to have an unbalanced diet no matter what they try.
Respectable nutritional studies that were conducted on vegetarians show that this group of people must be lacking certain vital aliments, since they all have major deficits of iron, zinc, calcium and vitamin D, deficits which will later cause problems.
In truth, vegetarian are not people who stand a good change in fat loss, they are just depriving themselves of essential nutrients, without actually starving themselves. It doesn’t really matter that they have big meals which will make they feel full, because their inner organs are not fed the nutrients that are required. In time, cells will register a major loss of proteins and bones will lack calcium, becoming breakable and thinner. Here, we should remind ourselves of osteoporosis, a bone condition that is encountered mostly in women or even men who did not eat enough calcium based aliments during their lives.
The smart diets will always be based on balance and will never prohibit the consumption of essential elements. A good diet is a diet that will never allow you to lack any things that are essential for health and well-being. A vegetarian might look thinner compared to a person of the same age that eat fats excessively, but if we were to appreciate the general health of the two, in most cases the vegetarian is the one that presents more problems and risks.
