My parents were expert swimmers and even took part in the local championships in the quaint village we lived in. Since I was a kid my family encouraged the habit of swimming in us and we used to swim regularly in swimming pools near our area. Incidentally I forgot to mention that we lived near the remains of an Olympic Village since my father was an Olympic swimming coach! Brominating or Chlorination is regularly affected and the water pH is maintained at a neutral state of 7.2 to 7.6.

Other steps include cleaning the skimmer baskets, providing and controlling algaecide and clarifiers, shock method of liberating free chlorine in the pool and some other minor treatments. The physical cleaning of the swimming pools takes place by employing skilled pool cleaners who ensure that the cleaning is done by brushing and vacuuming followed by drying and if possible protecting the pool with a special safety swimming pool covers. There is no doubt that expert swimmers who know all about swimming pools are thought to be the best people to maintain such Olympic grade pools.
